English to Malay Linguist & Copy Editor for Product, Marketing & UI Content

Welo Global is a multilingual AI and content solutions company working with over 2,000 clients across 300 languages. Through their network of 500,000+ linguists and domain experts, they combine advanced language technology with specialized content services. They're looking for experienced Malay linguists and copy editors to join an ongoing project with a major multinational company on a remote, freelance basis.

What you'll do

• Translate and localize content from English to Malay for marketing, user interface, product, support, and informational materials
• Perform copy editing and machine translation post-editing (MTPE) to ensure accuracy and quality across diverse content types
• Work with a client-specific CAT tool that will be provided during your onboarding process
• Handle a consistent volume of 5,000+ words per week while maintaining tight deadlines
• Collaborate with the Active Talent Hub team and provide feedback on translation challenges or content nuances
• Support legal and compliance-related content alongside consumer-facing materials

What you'll bring

• Native or near-native fluency in Malay with strong command of English
• Either a translation, linguistics, or related degree plus 2+ years of professional translation experience, or 5+ years of professional translation experience without a formal degree
• Proven track record translating English to Malay across marketing, UI, product, support, and informational content
• Proficiency with CAT tools and ability to work efficiently within localization workflows
• Meticulous attention to detail and consistent ability to deliver quality work under deadline pressure
• Responsive communication style, reliability, and receptiveness to feedback and revision requests
