About the role
Synthesia is the world's leading artificial intelligence video generation platform trusted by over 90% of Fortune 100 companies. Founded in 2017 and headquartered in London, the company has secured over 530 million dollars in funding from leading investors including Accel, Nvidia Ventures, Kleiner Perkins, and GV, reaching a 4 billion dollar valuation following its recent Series E round. The platform helps organizations enhance visual communication and enterprise training at scale.
This Staff-level Product Designer role focuses on the enterprise governance and administration layer that determines whether large deployments thrive or stagnate. You'll own the complete experience from workspace setup and identity management through compliance frameworks, content lifecycle workflows, analytics, and billing systems. This is the design work that transforms proof of concepts into seven-figure renewals.
What you'll do
- Own the enterprise surface end-to-end, from problem definition through shipped solutions and ongoing refinement, often navigating significant ambiguity and making independent decisions across complex stakeholder landscapes.
- Design governance and compliance systems that provide admins, legal teams, and compliance officers genuine control and transparency, including permission models that scale across thousands of creators, audit log experiences that satisfy compliance requirements, and workspace identity workflows that integrate with enterprise infrastructure like SSO and SCIM.
- Develop fluency in technical constraints and possibilities by partnering closely with engineering, understanding APIs, widget architectures, developer hub patterns, and how backend systems shape what's achievable in user experience design.
- Drive pragmatic iteration by ruthlessly scoping work, building proofs of concept to validate ideas early, and incorporating feedback from enterprise customers into your design approach.
- Set and communicate design vision for the enterprise surface while influencing adjacent product areas to maintain coherence across SSO, compliance, analytics, and billing domains.
What you'll bring
- Significant experience designing complex, large-scale product surfaces such as admin dashboards, governance layers, analytics platforms, or similar domains where systems thinking is fundamental.
- Technical fluency including understanding of APIs, integrations, service communication patterns, widget architectures, and developer hubs, with the ability to read technical architecture documentation and understand the constraints it creates for design.
- Systems thinking that extends beyond interaction flows to enterprise systems, including how identity systems, compliance requirements, and scale constraints shape actual user experience possibilities.
- Comfort operating in ambiguity, turning unclear and fast-moving problem spaces into clear direction without waiting for perfect clarity.
- Excellent communication skills in design reviews and cross-functional decision-making environments.
- Experience designing workflows where trust, transparency, and user control are central, helping users feel confident rather than confused or excluded by AI-driven outputs.
- Ability to synthesize feedback from users and customers to ensure the product meets real needs, particularly for enterprise stakeholders with high stakes around quality, compliance, and scale.
Nice to have
- Experience with enterprise identity and access management systems.
- Background in designing for regulated industries or compliance-heavy environments.
What they offer
- Flexible remote work based in Europe or hybrid arrangements from London, Copenhagen, Munich, or Zurich offices.
- 25 days of annual leave plus public holidays in your country.
- Up to 60 days per year to work from anywhere globally.
- Generous referral scheme and work from home setup support.
Pay, location & hours
Salary not listed. Based in London (Hybrid).
