As a rapidly growing company serving a global audience, Circle recognizes that quality localization is essential to delivering a product experience that resonates with users in different markets. This role is for a contractor-based Italian translator who will help Circle serve its Italian-speaking audience by translating product interface text and marketing materials with cultural authenticity and linguistic precision.

What you'll do

• Translate software user interface text from English into Italian using key-based translation tools, maintaining variables, formatting, meaning, and tone throughout.

• Produce persuasive and natural Italian translations of marketing content designed to engage Circle's target audiences.

• Follow Circle's translation guidelines, glossary, and style documentation consistently across all projects.

• Work with approved translation platforms and tools, including AI-assisted systems where applicable.

• Complete quality-assurance reviews by identifying, investigating, and correcting any linguistic or formatting issues raised during review cycles.

• Update teammates on your availability, expected turnaround times, and any delivery constraints through Slack.

• Coordinate coverage and workload distribution with Circle's other Italian translator to ensure consistent service.

What you'll bring

• Professional translation experience specifically with software user interface text in Italian.

• Professional background translating marketing and promotional content into Italian.

• Hands-on experience using key-based or localization-focused translation tools, beyond traditional document translation.

• Native fluency in Italian with strong English comprehension at C2 level or equivalent, backed by relevant professional work.

• Self-directed work style with the ability to apply detailed language guidance and make informed decisions when source material is ambiguous.

• Commitment to quality assurance processes, including investigating and resolving flagged translation issues.

• Strong written and spoken English communication skills, as Circle operates primarily through asynchronous channels.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of creator-economy platforms, online communities, or software built for content creators.

• Previous localization work for SaaS products, membership platforms, or other digital services.
