About the role

Cerebras Systems manufactures the world's most advanced AI processors, delivering training and inference speeds over ten times faster than conventional GPU infrastructure. The company partners with leading AI labs, major enterprises, and innovative startups to deploy cutting-edge infrastructure at scale. Recently, OpenAI announced a multi-year partnership with Cerebras to support 750 megawatts of computational capacity, reflecting the transformative potential of this technology.

Cerebras is expanding its production footprint across cloud environments, colocation facilities, and customer sites globally. The organization is building operational systems to manage this growing infrastructure reliably and safely. You will lead day-to-day operations of Cerebras-managed production systems, reporting to the Director of Central Operations and working across site operations, reliability teams, service logistics, engineering, and deployment groups.

What you'll do

  • Oversee operational health of Cerebras production infrastructure across multiple geographic locations and deployment models, establishing consistent processes and maintaining real-time visibility into system state, degradation, outages, and availability.
  • Design and implement 24x7 operational coverage, monitoring, alerting, triage, escalation, and restoration procedures that scale as the fleet expands.
  • Build and mature the Fleet Operations and Network Operations Center capability, including standards for telemetry, dashboards, reporting, operator procedures, runbooks, and access controls.
  • Coordinate physical interventions by dispatching and prioritizing site operations activities based on production impact, providing diagnostics and execution procedures, and validating recovery and return-to-service authorization.
  • Establish operational workflows for failed systems and components, managing diagnosis, replacement, repair, and RMA activities while coordinating with logistics teams to ensure spare inventory availability.
  • Manage production maintenance windows and change governance across operations, sites, customers, and engineering partners, ensuring appropriate validation and rollback procedures with clear communication.
  • Identify high-frequency operational activities suitable for automation and partner with engineering teams to implement automated detection, diagnosis, remediation, and validation.

What you'll bring

  • Proven experience managing production operations, fleet management, or network operations center environments at scale.
  • Strong background establishing operational processes, monitoring systems, and incident response procedures across distributed infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams including site operations, reliability, logistics, and engineering organizations.
  • Experience managing physical intervention workflows, repair operations, and asset disposition at scale.
  • Capability to drive operational standardization and automation across geographically dispersed locations.
  • Comfort operating in a fast-growing environment where infrastructure complexity and scale increase rapidly.

What they offer

  • Full-time position based in Sunnyvale with hybrid work arrangement.
