Research Engineer

This Research Engineer position sits within the research team, where you'll contribute directly to the audio AI models powering products used by millions. You'll join a group of researchers and engineers pushing the boundaries of what's possible in generative audio.

What you'll do

• Train and develop state-of-the-art models across audio and related modalities, implementing cutting-edge techniques and architectures.
• Advance existing models through post-training optimization, systematic data curation, architectural refinements, and experimental training methodologies.
• Create and execute rigorous benchmarks and evaluation frameworks that provide clear, actionable insights into model performance improvements.
• Conduct exploratory research initiatives focused on enhancing data quality and model robustness.
• Work autonomously on novel research concepts while contributing to the broader research agenda.

What you'll bring

• At least three years of hands-on experience in AI and machine learning, with demonstrated expertise in model implementation, training, and iterative improvement.
• A track record of independently pursuing research questions and advancing machine learning projects, with evidence through published work, open-source contributions, or portfolio pieces.
• Strong foundational skills in data curation and evaluation methodology.
• The ability to solve complex technical problems and communicate findings clearly.
• Intellectual curiosity and comfort working in a fast-moving research environment.
