Director, Data & Analytics

As Director of Data & Analytics, you'll own the entire Product Data & Analytics function reporting to the CTO of Ramps & Platform. This is a leadership build: you'll hire across Data Scientists, Analytics Engineers, and Data Analysts; design the organizational structure and career paths; and establish the rigor and standards that let Product and Engineering ship faster and smarter. You'll shape the metrics, experimentation, and data infrastructure that inform what MoonPay builds next.

What you'll do

• Define the roadmap and operating model for Product Data & Analytics, spanning Data Science, Analytics Engineering, and Data Analysis

• Recruit and manage a multi-disciplinary team, setting leveling and career progression for each discipline as the function scales

• Embed analytics and experimentation into the product development lifecycle, from problem definition through post-launch measurement

• Standardize how product metrics, experimentation, and analytics are built and consumed across the company, replacing ad hoc analysis with reusable data products

• Set technical and quality standards: data modeling conventions, experimentation methodology, dashboarding and reporting practices

• Partner with Product, Engineering, Finance, Operations, and Compliance on cross-functional planning and strategy

• Mentor team leads and senior individual contributors to develop a bench of future managers

What you'll bring

• 10+ years in data science, analytics, or analytics engineering with substantial management or leadership experience

• Proven track record building and scaling a data function from the ground up or through high-growth phases, including hands-on hiring across multiple disciplines

• Deep technical fluency across the disciplines you'll manage; you can evaluate tradeoffs in data modeling and experimentation design

• Experience embedding analytics and experimentation into how product teams actually build

• Strong stakeholder management and ability to communicate clearly with executives, engineers, and cross-functional partners

• An active interest in cryptocurrency and Web3, with comfort in a fast-moving environment

• Background in fintech, payments, or crypto
