DevOps Engineer (100% remote)

Tether's Data division is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join its fully remote team. You'll design and manage enterprise-scale CI/CD infrastructure using GitHub Actions, ensuring fast, reliable, and reproducible software delivery. This role sits at the intersection of infrastructure, automation, and platform reliability, supporting teams across multiple programming languages and deployment targets.

What you'll do

• Architect and manage end-to-end CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and similar tools, enabling consistent, traceable releases at scale across production environments.
• Implement test-driven deployment systems that integrate automated testing, validation, and monitoring to maintain code quality and accelerate feedback cycles.
• Containerize applications and microservices using Docker, optimizing image builds and managing deployment workflows for distributed environments.
• Oversee build, packaging, and publishing workflows for JavaScript, TypeScript, and C++ packages, handling versioning, semantic tagging, and registry publication to NPM and internal systems.
• Design and maintain cross-platform build pipelines using CMake or equivalent tools, ensuring consistent compilation across web, desktop, and mobile targets.
• Automate end-to-end release processes including tagging, building, signing, and distributing applications across iOS, Android, web, and desktop platforms.
• Define and manage Infrastructure as Code using tools like Terraform, Ansible, AWS CDK, or AWS CloudFormation to provision reliable, scalable, secure environments.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to troubleshoot deployment issues, optimize performance, and improve release reliability.

What you'll bring

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years architecting and maintaining CI/CD pipelines at production scale using GitHub Actions or equivalent platforms.
• Deep expertise in test-driven deployment methodologies and automated testing frameworks for integration and end-to-end validation.
• Strong containerization knowledge with Docker, including image creation, registry management, and orchestration patterns.
• Proven experience managing JavaScript and TypeScript package lifecycles, including versioning, compilation, and semantic tagging workflows.
• Advanced proficiency with C++ build systems, particularly CMake, including optimization of native build and deployment pipelines.
• Expert-level Linux system administration and networking skills, including shell scripting, package management, performance tuning, firewall configuration, and VPN setup.
• Mobile CI/CD automation experience for iOS and Android build, tagging, and publication processes.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills suited to globally distributed teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code implementations at enterprise scale.
• Familiarity with observability, monitoring, and alerting systems for operational excellence.
