Staff Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

The Cloud Infrastructure Engineering team at OKX builds the systems and tools that keep the platform running reliably at scale. This function is central to the company's mission, enabling early detection of production issues and helping development teams focus on features rather than infrastructure complexity. The team ensures the safety, health, and uptime of OKX's distributed systems while providing capabilities to quickly resolve unexpected problems.

What you'll do

• Maintain and configure AWS infrastructure, including research and architecture of solutions built on AWS services and daily environment management
• Own the complete Databricks platform on AWS end to end, including workspace provisioning, account configuration, cluster policies, instance pools, and SQL warehouses managed through Terraform
• Monitor and optimize Databricks cost and performance through cluster sizing, autoscaling, DBU usage tracking, and job reliability improvements
• Deploy, maintain, and scale big data and machine learning platforms such as Databricks, AWS SageMaker, and Aliyun DSW to support data processing and model training
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and scaling using Terraform and CI/CD pipelines across multi-cloud environments including AWS, Alibaba Cloud, and others
• Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents, monitor company services, handle alerts, and maintain service stability
• Collaborate with development teams on seamless integration and deployment of new features, and design internal platforms and tooling to improve operational efficiency

What you'll bring

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with six or more years in DevOps, SRE, DBA, or similar roles
• Deep expertise in AWS distributed management, high availability architecture, clustering, fault tolerance, load balancing, and capacity planning
• Strong Linux operations and maintenance skills with proven troubleshooting, configuration tuning, and performance analysis abilities
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration and management
• Proficiency in deploying and tuning AWS core services including EC2, EKS, VPC, and big data products
• Solid experience with microservices architecture, relational databases like MySQL and PostgreSQL, and NoSQL systems such as Redis, MongoDB, or HBase
• Demonstrated experience with Databricks, AWS SageMaker, or Aliyun DSW including data pipelines, notebook environments, and model workflows
• Coding proficiency in Python, Go, or shell scripting
• Strong problem-solving and system architecture abilities with excellent self-motivation

Nice to have

• Bilingual English and Mandarin fluency
• Operational experience with Alibaba Cloud, Google Cloud, Microsoft Cloud, or other major cloud providers
• Familiarity with Nginx, Kong, or similar infrastructure software
• Working knowledge of Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code tools
