Andromeda Sadiradra - QA Audio Rater - English (Canada)

Welo is an AI services company focused on building high-quality datasets and training data. The Welo Data team is launching an audio rating program, and they need a QA Audio Rater to maintain quality standards during the critical pilot phase. You'll work remotely from Canada as a contractor, starting as soon as possible.

Your core responsibilities center on quality assurance and consistency across the rater pool. You'll audit 30 percent of production output generated during this initial phase, catching calibration drift and scoring inconsistencies before they compound. When you spot issues, you'll provide clear, actionable feedback to individual raters so they can recalibrate their approach. You'll also complete onboarding and training ahead of the broader production rollout, helping to establish baseline standards for the entire team.

This role demands strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently. You'll need to spot patterns in how raters approach the work—recognizing when someone's scoring methodology has drifted from the agreed calibration. Pattern recognition matters here; you're not just flagging individual errors but identifying systemic issues across the rater pool. Comfort with ambiguity and early-stage projects is important, since you're joining during the pilot phase when processes are still being refined. Prior experience in QA, auditing, or similar rating work is valuable but not required.

The contract runs 10 hours per week at 31 dollars per hour. You'll be working entirely remotely and communicating in English.
