AI Technical Product Manager (QVAC) (100% remote)

QV.AC is Tether's flagship AI assistant designed for privacy-conscious users who want local, on-device intelligence that keeps their data under their control. The product focuses on practical AI capabilities that work seamlessly across devices while respecting user privacy and autonomy. You'll help shape how this technology evolves to serve real user needs.

As an AI Technical Product Manager, you'll join Tether's Product team to advance the QV.AC vision from concept to user hands. Working closely with the Product Lead, you'll identify valuable use cases for local AI, define features that matter, and shepherd them through discovery, development, and launch. This role is entirely remote and suits someone who combines hands-on curiosity about AI capabilities with the discipline to make complex technology simple and useful.

What you'll do

• Translate the QV.AC vision into concrete use cases, feature proposals, and product requirements by working with the Product Lead and grounding ideas in user research and experimentation.

• Conduct user research and gather feedback to understand where AI solves meaningful problems and where simpler solutions might work better, then identify opportunities for the product.

• Write product briefs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and user flows that help engineering and design understand the intended experience, constraints, and success measures.

• Build wireframes, mockups, and working prototypes using design or coding tools to test ideas and communicate product behavior with the team.

• Collaborate with engineers to assess feasibility across devices and models, weighing trade-offs in response quality, latency, memory usage, battery consumption, and privacy.

• Support the Product Lead in evaluating opportunities, clarifying scope, identifying dependencies, and maintaining a focused backlog aligned with priorities.

• Shepherd assigned features through development, resolve product questions during implementation, review the experience, and coordinate feedback and release readiness.

• Stay current with AI developments by exploring new products, models, tools, and interaction patterns, then recommend what is worth testing or adopting for QV.AC.

What you'll bring

• 7+ years of product management experience, ideally on AI software products where you worked closely with technical engineering teams.

• Practical hands-on experience building, shipping, or prototyping AI-powered features, with the ability to articulate your contribution and what you learned.

• Working knowledge of AI concepts including inference, model capabilities and limitations, context, and evaluation, plus genuine interest in local and on-device AI approaches.

• Ability to translate ambiguous ideas into clear user problems, proposed solutions, and actionable requirements.

• Strong product judgment with attention to usability, scope, and measurable user value.

• Confidence creating prototypes using design or coding tools.

• Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to discuss technical trade-offs with engineers and explain them to non-technical colleagues.
