You'll join as an Infrastructure Engineer on the Engineering and Product team, responsible for building and maintaining the platform that powers every product at ElevenLabs. You'll work directly with research, product, security and safety teams to launch new infrastructure, scale systems as needs grow, and lead migrations and improvements that enhance reliability, security and cost efficiency.
What you'll do
- Manage and scale Kubernetes clusters at production scale, including GPU clusters for both inference and training, across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Design and implement compute, networking, permissions and access systems for teams as they expand.
- Host and operate the data systems including databases and Kafka that other engineering teams depend on.
- Develop tooling, automation and services in Python that make infrastructure self-serve for the rest of the company.
- Lead large-scale infrastructure initiatives from conception through completion, such as cluster builds and cloud migrations.
- Collaborate hands-on with cross-functional teams to improve the platform while maintaining pragmatism about trade-offs in a fast-moving environment.
What you'll bring
- Deep, hands-on production experience running Kubernetes at scale.
- Strong experience with GCP, including designing, building and migrating cloud infrastructure end-to-end as an individual contributor.
- Strong Python skills with a demonstrated ability to solve infrastructure challenges through code and automation.
- Experience operating stateful systems on behalf of other engineering teams.
- Solid foundational knowledge of infrastructure as code, security, permissions and practical prioritization in fast-moving environments.
Nice to have
- Experience with GPU clusters or machine learning training and inference infrastructure such as vLLM.
- On-premises, bare-metal or deep networking experience.
- Open-source contributions in the cloud-native community.
