We're looking for a Backend Engineer to join the Wallets team and help build the infrastructure that powers Tether's global financial platform. You'll work on robust, scalable backend systems that handle real-time transactions, secure asset storage, and seamless blockchain integration for millions of users worldwide.
What you'll do
- Design and develop secure, scalable backend services that support Tether's wallet and payment infrastructure across multiple blockchains
- Build microservices-based architectures that remain responsive and efficient as the platform grows and transaction volume increases
- Implement and maintain the highest security standards across all backend systems to protect user assets and transaction data
- Work with databases including MySQL and MongoDB to design efficient data storage and retrieval systems
- Collaborate with agile teams using modern development practices to deliver cutting-edge solutions
- Rapidly learn and integrate new technologies and frameworks as requirements evolve
- Contribute to peer-to-peer technology initiatives that enhance platform functionality
What you'll bring
- Advanced proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript with production-level experience building complex applications
- Solid understanding of microservices architecture and experience implementing scalable service-oriented systems
- Strong background in database design and optimization with both relational and NoSQL databases
- Deep commitment to security best practices and ability to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities
- Demonstrated experience developing sophisticated platforms under demanding conditions
- Familiarity with peer-to-peer technologies and distributed systems
- Excellent English communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a remote, globally distributed environment
- Capacity to quickly absorb new technologies and adapt to evolving project needs
