Telugu Linguistic Evaluator & Functional Tester

Welocalize, part of the Welo Global family, partners with major technology companies to deliver AI-powered multilingual content solutions across more than 300 languages. The company combines artificial intelligence, automation, and human expertise to help enterprises scale globally with culturally accurate and compliant content. For this confidential project, Welocalize seeks a native-level Telugu speaker to evaluate an unreleased AI model and test its functionality on consumer devices before public release.

What you'll do

• Assess Telugu language output from a pre-release AI system, evaluating it for accuracy, naturalness, appropriateness, and overall quality while fact-checking responses against source materials
• Compare the Telugu user experience against the English equivalent, ensuring feature parity and testing complete user journeys with non-English input
• Identify display issues such as text overflow or rendering problems, along with localization errors including incorrect dates, numbers, currencies, units, or untranslated strings
• Document each issue with clear reproduction steps, device and operating system details, locale information, build IDs, and supporting evidence for developer review, then retest after fixes are deployed
• Provide feedback as a native speaker on navigation, usability, and language-specific nuances that only a fluent speaker would recognize
• Work on-site in a secure Welocalize office location in Tokyo due to the confidential nature of the technology
• Assist with additional linguistic projects as they arise

What you'll bring

• Native-level or fully bilingual Telugu proficiency in both written and spoken forms, with current knowledge of everyday and technical language usage
• Comfort and confidence using smartphones and laptops across both iOS and Android platforms
• Strong attention to detail combined with fair and objective quality assessment skills
• Ability to work independently, follow detailed test scripts and guidelines, and communicate issues clearly in English
• Prior experience in software testing, app testing, localization quality assurance, or linguistic evaluation is valuable but not required if you have strong language skills and precision focus
