Principal DevOps Engineer

The Infrastructure team at Bybit is seeking a Principal DevOps Engineer to lead the deployment, operation, and management of critical middleware systems. You will ensure the stability and high availability of the company's infrastructure while collaborating with engineering teams to support rapid growth across distributed financial services.

What you'll do

• Oversee deployment, operation, maintenance, and upgrades of middleware systems including ZooKeeper, etcd, Nacos, and Kafka, ensuring production stability and availability.
• Manage public cloud infrastructure on AWS and Tencent Cloud, including resource allocation, monitoring, performance optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Partner with R&D teams to coordinate middleware environment setup, version upgrades, configuration management, and production support.
• Develop and maintain operational documentation, standard operating procedures, and automation scripts to enhance efficiency and reduce manual work.
• Diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure issues, working across teams to implement lasting solutions.

What you'll bring

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, plus 3+ years of hands-on experience with middleware systems or Linux operations.
• Deep proficiency with Linux operating systems and the ability to troubleshoot system and network problems independently.
• Working knowledge of AWS and Tencent Cloud platforms and their core operational capabilities.
• Production experience with ZooKeeper, etcd, Nacos, and Kafka in live environments.
• Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes, including day-to-day cluster management and administration.
• Strong Shell scripting skills and foundational development ability in Go or Python to build automation tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with clear communication skills and a commitment to reliability and service excellence.
