About the role
Databricks is the unified platform trusted by over 20,000 global organizations—including 70% of the Fortune 500—to build and operate data and AI applications at scale. The company is addressing a critical gap in how sales and field teams are equipped to succeed: generic enablement strategies don't work across different roles, regions, segments, and experience levels. Databricks is hiring a GTM Motions & Skills Enablement Lead to redesign this entire function from the ground up.
In this individual contributor role within Field Engineering Enablement, you'll partner with the Global Sales Enablement team and regional colleagues to build an AI-native system that transforms one-size-fits-all content into personalized learning tracks tailored by role, tenure, skill level, industry vertical, and geography. You'll lead through influence and the quality of what you create, not through direct reports.
What you'll do
- Develop the end-to-end strategy, operational framework, and technical engine that powers adaptive enablement for sales and sales development teams worldwide.
- Construct an AI-first system that ingests globally applicable enablement and automatically personalizes it into targeted tracks by role, tenure, segment, and industry.
- Build hands-on across apps, AI agents, skills modules, content assets, and automated workflows using AI-native tools, prioritizing rapid iteration and learning over perfection.
- Establish operating standards including cadence, metrics, and feedback loops that capture field friction and funnel it back into product and content improvements.
- Coordinate with regional teams globally to pilot, validate, and customize outputs for local markets.
- Align cross-functional stakeholders and senior sales leaders on the model, priorities, and resource allocation.
What you'll bring
- Seven or more years in GTM roles such as sales, pre-sales, product management, product marketing, or sales enablement focused on technical data and AI platforms, with proven instincts for world-class enablement design.
- Deep expertise across data, AI, and frontier model landscapes, plus a demonstrated ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear narratives for customers and teams.
- Hands-on builder experience shipping AI-powered apps, skills, content, and processes independently, alongside track record scaling high-impact enablement programs without sacrificing quality or depth.
- Strong cross-functional stakeholder management skills, executive presence, and ability to advise senior sales leaders as a trusted partner.
- Action bias, comfort with ambiguity across competing priorities, and sound decision-making judgment.
- Alignment with company culture principles and ability to help others apply them across scaling challenges and tradeoffs.
Nice to have
- Background in instructional design or experience building adaptive and personalized learning experiences.
What they offer
- Base salary ranging from $115,000 to $197,550 USD depending on location zone, with eligibility for annual performance bonus and equity.
- Comprehensive regional benefits package including health, wellness, and professional development support.
- Global team across 30+ offices with flexibility to work remotely in the United States.
Pay, location & hours
Salary not listed. Based in United States. Working hours: Americas overlap.
