Cohere is hiring a Technical Program Manager to bridge engineering execution with customer success, as demand for skilled program managers who understand both LLM systems and enterprise delivery intensifies across the industry.
Cohere is looking for an experienced Technical Program Manager to join the customer-facing Engineering Program Management team. You'll work directly with strategic customers, Applied ML Engineering, Forward Deployed Engineering, Platform, Product, and Go-to-Market teams. This role offers the chance to shape company operations, influence product direction, and be Cohere's technical voice to enterprise partners.
What you'll do
- Communicate clearly across technical teams, Cohere leadership, and strategic customers, providing objective updates and coordinating on complex issues
- Optimize by breaking down technical challenges into actionable strategies and driving alignment between engineering, product, business, and marketing
- Plan and manage program schedules, map dependencies, identify risks, and maintain organizational alignment across multiple work streams and time zones
- Execute project delivery by tracking milestones, establishing status checkpoints, and ensuring on-time shipping while managing development needs
- Problem-solve proactively by identifying blockers, resolving cross-functional dependencies, and prioritizing impacts to schedule and product quality
What you'll bring
- At least 5 years of experience as an Engineering or Technical Program Manager, with a minimum of 2 years in customer-facing technical delivery for enterprise-grade AI software or solutions
- Detail orientation and strong self-organization skills, with the ability to capture technical notes and track progress across complex meetings
- Execution focus and bias for action; you thrive on getting products shipped and customers successful
- Experience owning delivery across multiple work streams with distributed team members and the ability to hold leaders and individual contributors accountable in a diplomatic manner
- Comfort working independently with cross-functional teams to deliver technical solutions to internal or external customers
- Problem-focused mindset and genuine excitement about enabling customer success
Nice to have
- Knowledge or hands-on experience with LLM training or optimization
- Experience in machine learning solutions or AI-focused delivery programs
