As a Senior Blockchain Platform Engineer in New York (hybrid), you'll own critical infrastructure that handles real financial transactions at scale. Your day-to-day will span multiple domains:

You'll design and maintain high-volume transaction broadcasting pipelines, managing the full lifecycle of transactions including detection, retry logic, rebroadcast, and safe recovery of stuck transactions. On the wallet side, you'll contribute to infrastructure and automation systems while implementing safe parallel transaction handling and strengthening monitoring, observability, and operational guardrails. Your work will prioritize financial correctness, reconciliation, and auditability by design.

Cross-chain and DeFi work forms another major piece. You'll build infrastructure supporting multi-step flows between fiat and on-chain systems, design state machines and recovery strategies for partial failures, and handle routing mechanics with awareness of price impact, liquidity shifts, and MEV considerations. You'll also develop reliable off-chain services that interact safely with on-chain contracts.

You'll participate in estimation, planning, and execution of features and integrations end-to-end, develop thoroughly tested high-quality code, collaborate with Product on scalable approaches, drive reliability improvements, and participate in incident response and post-mortems.

What you'll bring

Strong backend and platform engineering fundamentals with experience operating production systems that require genuine uptime. Hands-on experience working directly with live blockchain networks in production. Deep understanding of transaction lifecycle and failure recovery in at least one blockchain. You think in failure modes, not just happy paths. You can walk through a real production incident from start to finish. Experience with at least one wallet infrastructure system—Ethereum, Bitcoin, or Solana—or custody systems. Awareness of MEV, slippage, pricing impact, and swap execution risks. Background in high-throughput or financial systems.

Nice to have

Experience at exchanges, custody providers, wallet infrastructure teams, or high-volume DeFi platforms. Familiarity with UTXO-based chains like Bitcoin, including coin selection and fee bumping strategies (RBF / CPFP). Design experience with cross-chain or multi-step transaction orchestration. Knowledge of blockchain indexing or event ingestion pipelines. Understanding of token standards like ERC-20 and SPL, plus backend interaction with smart contracts.
