Physical Security Manager, APAC/MENA

About the role

Ripple is a fintech innovator working to reshape how value moves across the global financial system. Using blockchain and crypto solutions, they serve financial institutions, businesses, and governments worldwide, removing barriers to economic opportunity and creating meaningful impact at scale.

You'll lead physical security operations for Ripple's APAC and MENA regions from Sydney, reporting directly to the Head of Global Corporate Security. This is a ground-up build: you'll establish a regionally embedded security function that serves growing office footprints across two dynamic markets, manages travel risk and incident response locally, and sets the foundation for expansion into markets like Pakistan and Nigeria. Your role bridges global security standards with regional expertise, giving employees direct access to security leadership who understands their environment.

Your responsibilities span several areas. You'll be the primary regional security contact advising leadership, HR, Legal, and Workplace teams on risk posture and security strategy. You'll own the regional security playbook covering travel risk management, incident protocols, and office security standards. Managing vendor relationships across the footprint means measuring performance of guards, contractors, and service providers consistently. You'll build working relationships with local law enforcement, government contacts, and intelligence sources to strengthen early warning capabilities. When incidents occur, you lead the response with rapid, locally informed decision-making. You'll support regulatory compliance and audit readiness across operations, apply Ripple's global standards locally, coordinate office buildouts and security system rollouts, and establish the vendor networks and risk intelligence needed before entering new markets.

You bring at least five years of corporate or physical security experience with increasing responsibility across MENA and/or APAC. You have an established network in law enforcement, government liaison, intelligence, and vendor communities. You've successfully managed incident response, travel risk programs, and vendor relationships with reliable delivery. You demonstrate integrity, sound judgment with confidential matters, and the maturity to handle sensitive situations professionally. You're tenacious about building functions from zero, and you operate with autonomy across time zones while maintaining strong communication discipline with global leadership.

Ripple offers competitive salary and equity, comprehensive benefits covering health, retirement, and family support, flexible in-office expectations with at least 10 days monthly collaboration, professional development budgets, generous vacation and parental leave, wellness reimbursement with onsite programming, R&R days, mobile stipend, and regular team offsites and social events.
